MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman is facing multiple charges in Tennessee after police say she shot a woman standing in the front yard of a home.
The victim’s mother told police that she had just gotten home from work, and was talking to her daughter outside when her daughter’s boyfriend showed up with a woman, identified as Antorya Perry, WHBQ reported.
Perry, who was behind the wheel of the car, is accused of trying to run over the daughter in the yard.
Police told WHBQ that the victim’s boyfriend then got out of the vehicle holding an assault rifle-style weapon and said, “I’m sorry momma, I got to do it.” Police said Perry then took the gun and began shooting at the victim, who ran into the house.
The victim was hit by the gunfire, WHBQ reported.
Police said Perry and the boyfriend then got back in the car, and continued to fire shots as they drove away.
